The mission of the Lemay Community Historical Society is to collect, preserve, record, interpret, and document the history of Lemay, and the surrounding area in a digital archive to share with the public. Through programs, publications, and other forms of community outreach, the Society will share our history to promote pride and appreciation for the people, places, and groups that have shaped the Lemay area.
Lemay Community Historical Society will provide a digital archive for public use that allows people to deepen their understanding of the past as it impacts the present and influences the future. A long term goal is to continually refine and expand the digital archive and develop a physical space to allow the Society to accept significant historical artifacts to preserve, display, and share with the public. The Society will also work with school districts to share materials about the history of the Lemay community.
